New England Psalms at Town House

The next concert in the Monadnock Music Festival program will be “The New England Psalm” to be held at the Peterborough Town House on Sunday, July 31, at 3 p.m.

An exploration of the New England psalm singing tradition will feature the Harvard Summer Chorus and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.

The program will include music by Ross Lee Finney, Carson Cooman and traditional psalm singing. The third Town House series concert will also include the world premiere of music based on Native American music.

Conductor Andrew Clark will lead the performance.

General admission is $30. Tickets can be purchased online at www.monadnockmusic.org or by calling the office at 757-3929.

The Monadnock Music Festival’s 2016 program includes a total of 13 concerts. Four of these concerts are being held at the Peterborough Town House and nine are taking place in various towns and villages throughout the Monadnock region.
