Three injured in head-on crash in Jaffrey

Three people were seriously injured in a two-car crash in Jaffrey Thursday afternoon.

At 2:32 p.m., police responded to report of a head-on crash on River Street at Gilmore Pond Road. According to police, 43-year-old David Matson of Troy, 31-year-old Alexandria Clark of Peterborough and 39-year-old Adam Lavoie of Jaffrey were all taken by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center. Matson was driving a 2002 GMC pickup. Clark was driving a 2022 Kia Soul, and Lavoie was Clark’s passenger.

The State Police were called to assist with the investigation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Det. Jeremy Leblanc of the Jaffrey Police Department at 603-532-7865, or through dispatch at 603-355-2000.

The Jaffrey Police were assisted on scene by the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Department, New Hampshire State Police, the Jaffrey Fire Department, the Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance, Souhegan Valley Ambulance, Rindge Fire Department, Peterborough Fire and Rescue and New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
