
The NH Gives online giving event created by the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits raised more than than $3.3 million from 5 p.m. June 6 to 5 p.m. June 7 for a record-breaking 610 participating New Hampshire nonprofits.
The Cornucopia Project in Peterborough attracted the most individual donors, with 487 people contributing to support its mission. The Cornucopia Project’s activities include hands-on nutrition education to children, working in partnership with local elementary schools, running an educational farm and providing produce to families, food pantries and restaurants.
“NH Gives has become a Granite State tradition — a tradition that shows how much people care about community and how highly they value the work that nonprofits do,” stated Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits. “Everyone who gave and participated deserves huge thanks. The momentum for NH Gives is something everyone in New Hampshire can be really proud of.”
Among Monadnock region agencies, The Cornucopia Project also raised the most money, $27,923. Other leading local agencies included:
— MAXT Makerspace, $14,985.
— Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center, $11,515.
— The River Center, $11,262.
— Peterborough Players, $7,844.
— Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter. $7,355.
— Touchstone Farm, $6,065.
— Flying Gravity Circus, $6,000.
— Grand Monadnock Youth Choirs, $5,400.
— Friends of the Greenfield Community Meetinghouse, $5,100.
— Scott-Farrar at Peterborough, $4,590.
— Dublin Christian Academy, $4,425.
