Warrant Articles
■ Article 2 asks to raise the budget of $2,510,562. Should the budget fail the default budget is $2,44,030.
■ Article 3 asks the town to accept $150,000 in grant funds for roadwork from the Highway Block Grant.
■Article 4 asks for $350,000 to reconstruct and pave roads and reestablish a road committee to construct a paving plan, consisting of the Department of Public Works director, two members of the Planning Board and two residents with knowledge of paving or road construction.
■Article 5 asks for $250,000 to reconstruct and pave roads. Both Article 4 and 5 should pass to complete all planned road projects. This article also calls for the re-establishment of the road committee.
■Article 6 asks the town to raise $243,500 for the town’s various expendable trusts and capital reserves for vehicle and building maintenance.
■Article 7 asks for $40,000 to support the New Ipswich Library.
■Article 8 asks for $98,065 to support the Souhegan Valley Ambulance.
■Article 9 asks for $199,900 to replace the fire department’s expired air packs. The cost may be offset by up to 95 percent by a grant.
■Article 10 asks for $9,550 to fund health services and nonprofits that serve New Ipswich residents.
■Article 11 would dissolve a defunct expendable trust which held funds for the town’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
■Article 12 asks to raise $4,640 to allow New Ipswich residents to participate in Keene’s Household Hazardous Waste disposal program.
■Article 13 asks the town to increase its tax credit for military members who are totally disabled as a result of military service from $2,000 to $4,000. This is a petition article.
■Article 14 asks the town to raise $2.5 million to design and construct a police station behind the town offices. The town would raise $2 million over the course of the next 4 years through taxation, and up to $500,000 from the unexpended fund balance. This would construct a stand-alone police station on town-owned land, with no loan or long-term payback. This article was submitted by petition.
■Article 15 asks the town to amend its noise ordinance to prohibit any noise considered a public nuisance, including recreational shooting, after 7 p.m., where the current ordinance allows it until 10 p.m. This article was submitted by petition.
■Article 16 would accept the roads as part of the Green Farm Village Cluster Development as town roads. This is an additional .6 miles of road.
