New Ipswich candidates’ night is March 7

Candidates for New Ipswich town and school positions will answer voter questions in a candidate forum March 7 at the town office at 7 p.m.

There is one contested race on the town ballot this year. Jeanne Cunningham and Gretchen Rae are both vying for a single available seat for a three-year term on the Board of Assessors.

In other seats up for election this year, Shawn Talbot is running for re-election to the Select Board. Richard Smeeth is seeking a term on the Planning Board. A two-year term on the Planning Board is also on the ballot, with no candidate running. Brenda Pellerito is running for supervisor of the checklist, Lisa Carbone for the combined office of town clerk and tax collector, Carlene Wardwell for town treasurer and Robert Zinmeister for trustee of the trust funds.

For the Mascenic School District, Robert Romeril is running for re-election to the moderator position, and Michael Pellerito, John Schaumloffel, Jesus Cantu Trevino and Keryn Matson are running for the New Ipswich school board seat. 

Elections for  New Ipswich candidates for both town and school district positions are March 14 at Mascenic Regional High School.
