A Manchester man was killed in a car crash on Route 101 in Peterborough Saturday night.

Peterborough police responded to a two-vehicle crash near Field Road at 10:36 p.m. and determined that a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Brett Biron, 21, of Milford had been traveling west when Biron lost control, crossed the center line, and struck an eastbound Ford Escape, driven by Ryan Kerick, 39, of Manchester, who had his daughter in the car.

The collision killed Kerick, according to a press release from the New Hampshire State Police. Biron sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Elliott Hospital in Manchester. Kerick’s daughter was not seriously injured.

“At this time it does appear that fatigue was a factor in this crash, however all aspects remain under investigation,” the press release read.

The highway was closed for several hours after the crash while State Police conducted an investigation. Anyone that may have further information related to this crash is instructed to contact Trooper Joshuah Howe at 223-8494 or email at Joshuah.R.Howe@dos.nh.gov.
