Janice Laroche’s third-grade class at Peterborough Elementary School took a field trip to Steele’s Stationers on Wednesday, June 18.

The third-graders, who walked to Steele’s from PES, were each given a small amount to spend on an item for school. The students learned about budgeting, the history of the longstanding local business and how to use cash and make change. Bill and Elizabeth Little, owners of Steele’s, host the field trip and donate funds to students each year.
