The Page to Screen Book Club at Ingalls Memorial Library, 203 Main St. in Rindge, will meet Monday, Jan. 9, at 1:30 p.m. to view the film “Rebecca,” directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

“Rebecca” was Hitchcock’s first American film. An adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel, it stars Joan Fontaine as a young woman who believes she has found her heart's desire when she marries the aristocratic widower Maxim de Winter, played by Laurence Olivier. But upon moving to Manderley -- her groom's baroque mansion -- she soon learns that Maxim’s deceased wife haunts both the estate and her husband.

Copies of the book are available at the library if people would like to read it before the screening. For information, call the library at 603-899-3303 or send email to donna@ingallslibrary.com.
