Gavin Ketola, Jaylyn Paul win Peanut Butter Chip Chase

Gavin Ketola of Rindge finished first overall and 14-year-old Jaylyn Paul was the top finisher among the women during the Souhegan Lions Club’s 46th annual Peanut Butter Chip Chase 5K on New Years Day in Temple.
Ketola covered the course in 17 minutes, 57 seconds, improving on his 2022 third-place run by 40 seconds. Paul’s time was 21:06. The Souhegan Lions Club fundraiser drew 103 runners and 19 walkers.
The winners for the age categories are as follows:
14-to-19 female: Jaylyn Paul first, Skye Lambert second.
20-to-29 female: Sarah Craig first, Julia Strimming second.
30-to-39 female: Shayni Cutter first, Casey McGee second.
40-to-49 female: Gwenna Ketola first, Casey McGee second.
50-to-59 female: Bridget Rines first, Emily Hurley second.
