The Souhegan Lions Club’s Peanut Butter Chip Chase 
5K – a Temple tradition for nearly 50 years – returns Monday, Jan. 1.

Participants can register online at runsignup.com/Race/Events/NH/Temple/NewYearsDayPeanutButterChipChase5KWalkorRun before noon on Dec. 31 to be sure to get this year’s race T-shirt.

People can also register in person with cash or check on race day between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

The race starts at noon, followed by refreshments, prizes and category awards. The race will be professionally scored and is sponsored by the Souhegan Lions, who use the proceeds to help people with various needs, including sight and hearing needs, warm clothing and  recovering from family emergencies such as fires.

For safety reasons, participants are asked not to take dogs on the course during the race.

Registration is $30 for adults and $25 for 16 and under. Shirts will be offered to the first 120 registrants. Preferred sizes will be accommodated to the extent possible.
