Peterborough Town Library hosting novel-writing event

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is an annual month-long event that encourages and supports writers to make their goal of writing 50,000 words of a novel during the 30 days of November.

Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will host an open writing event in support of NaNoWriMo on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the board room. The event is meant to offer an encouraging and focused atmosphere treats and resources for writers.

“NaNoWriMo is an amazing challenge! We hope writers will join us and enjoy a little camaraderie on the last day of the month and hopefully they will finish up their novels,” stated Librarian Corinne Chronopoulos.

To participate in the writer sessions, show up and bring your writing device or supplies. NaNoWriMo officially became a nonprofit organization in 2006, and their programs support writing fluency and education. For information, visit the NaNoWriMo website.
