Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St. in Peterborough, invites the community to learn more about the total solar eclipse Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m.

New Hampshire is among the states in the path of totality for the April 8 eclipse, and the next total solar eclipse will not be seen from the contiguous United States until 2044. Susan Rolke, a NASA eclipse ambassador and astronomy expert, will describe what happens during an eclipse, the myths about them and best ways to safely view the eclipse. She will also share activities that can be done with light and images during the eclipse. Rolke will be joined by Raven Groblewski, a Franklin Pierce University student and partner in the NASA Eclipse Ambassador program.

Free eclipse glasses will be available to all who attend and are available now to all Peterborough Town Library card-holders at the main help desk. This program is sponsored in part by the Keene Amateurs Astronomers club. For information, visit peterboroughtownlibrary.org.
