Peterborough Town Library schedules February programs

Peterborough Town Library, located at 2 Concord St., has scheduled a series of February programs for adults.

All programs are free and open to the public. Check individual events at peterboroughtownlibrary.org/events to find details and information about registration.

A Tech Tuesday class on Gmail and Google Contacts will be Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Participants can learn about Gmail, Google Contacts and how they work together. There will also be a discussion on how to manage an inbox, how to find emails, how to sort emails and ways to use the Google ecosystem.

Monadnock Underground will host a writers open mic Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The library and Monadnock Underground are hosting a free-form open mic for writers of all genres and levels of experience.

Monadnock Handcrafters meet Saturday, Feb. 11 and 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. Monadnock Handcrafters is an informal drop-in group. People can bring knitting, spinning and other handwork projects.

The Peterborough Presents program will feature GwirHuddleston Llewellyn presenting a program on grief Monday, Feb. 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. She will speak on her work in communal healing circles and more.

The Spanish Club language-learning group will meet Tuesday, Feb. 14 and 28, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This is an informal group for basic/intermediate Spanish speakers to practice their language skills.

The Film Club will present “Rear Window,” starring Jimmy Stewart, Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 6:15 to 8 p.m.

Sandy Bibace will offer Excel help during a drop-in session Wednesday, Feb. 15, from noon to 1 p.m. People can attend in person or on Zoom.

Sebastian Lockwood will present “Homer’s Odysseus,” using scenes from “The Odyssey,” Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Michelle Dunn will present Vinyasa flow yoga Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6 to 7 p.m. This is a monthly offering of free yoga, and all levels are welcome.

The Tech Tuesday class Feb. 21 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. will be about Google Calendar, how to use it and how people can have their calendars work for them and not against them.

Mindi Charles, an experienced cookie decorator, will walk participants through four different cookie designs Thursday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This program is appropriate for teens with adults or a parent supervising a child that is 10 years and up. All supplies are provided, and there will be a small supply fee.
