The Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Congregation (PUUC) is hosting its online spring auction for one week beginning on May 26. In addition, PUUC will hold its live in-person auction on Saturday, June 3.
All online items can be found at 32auctions.com/puucauction2023. Bidding starts at 6 p.m. May 26 and concludes at 6 p.m. June 2. Winners will be notified by e-mail. The live auction on June 3 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 pm) will be at the PUUC Parish Hall, 25 Main St, Peterborough. Masks are optional.
Online bidding opportunities include a 6,500-watt portable Generac generator, handmade fleece hats, a handmade ceramic plate, a 3- by 5-foot wool rug, Gevi coffee maker, art reprint note cards, large picture frames, handmade wood canoe decoration and whale bone carving. Food includes homemade breads, chocolate pistachio cake, home-baked cakes and cookies and homemade granola.
Gift cards and certificates for local businesses such as restaurants, yoga studio classes, clothing stores, ice cream stands, hair salons, and other businesses in downtown Peterborough and surrounding areas will be available.
Live auction opportunities will include a handmade caned chair, local artwork, vacation homes, web design, meals, a 1959 Studebaker ride, a pontoon boat trip, multiple same-day fresh ocean-caught dinners, handyman services, Apple tech support and window-washing.
Proceeds from the auction aid the work of PUUC, including support for several area nonprofits such as the Shelter from the Storm and MATS, Project Hope (for refugees), 350NH.org, AA, Children and the Arts, and food insecurity programs.
