The Friends of the Peterborough Town Library will hold a two-day book collection for the Kyes-Sage Used Book Shop on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The book collection will take place at the Kyes-Sage Used Book Shop, 14 Concord St. in Peterborough. Books cannot be dropped off at the library. Donations of adult fiction, biography and history, as well as children’s books, are welcome.  Donated books must be in good condition. The Friends cannot accept damaged, smelly or moldy books, library discards, CDs and DVDs, textbooks or advance readers’ copies.

Beginning Thursday, May 2, the Kyes-Sage Used Book Shop is open Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most books are $2, with soft-cover children’s books for $1. All proceeds from Kyes-Sage used book sales fund library programs for children, teens and adults. In 2023, the bookshop raised nearly $6,500 to help fund library events.

The Friends of the Peterborough Town Library is a nonprofit group whose primary mission is to raise funds for additional programs not included in the library’s annual budget. For information or to join the Friends, send an email to friendsofpeterboroughlibrary@gmail.com, or visit their page on the library’s website at peterboroughtownlibrary.org.
