A presentation on the history of the Hancock meetinghouses will take place Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the first-floor meeting room of the Hancock Meetinghouse.

The event will highlight a new series of displays detailing more than 240 years of history from the original and current Hancock Meetinghouse. A Federal-style church, the Hancock Meetinghouse is frequently featured in publications on New England architecture.

The displays were created with support from the Hancock Historical Society, the Congregational Church of Hancock and the Hancock Archives Committee. Funding was provided by grants from the Hancock Improvement Association and the Putnam Foundation.

The exhibit will remain on view in the first-floor meeting room.
