Project Shakespeare, a nonprofit youth theater education company based in Jaffrey, received a $4,000 grant from The Putnam Foundation, a donor-advised fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. This grant will be used to support 2023 youth theater programs.

The 2023 season includes the One Play in One Week, “Little Women” and “The Secret Garden,” in which  students rehearse and perform a play during the one week of winter and spring school break.  The Summer Shakespeare – PS Too! plays are “Shakespeare Magic & Mayhem,” “As You Like It” and “Hamlet.”

The fall stage reading has yet to be announced, and the season included the 15th annual production of “A Christmas Carol.”

Project Shakespeare’s mission is to transform students’ lives through theater education and celebrates 29 years of creating opportunities for students in elementary, middle and high school ages. For information about Project Shakespeare’s 2023 programs, visit projectshakespeare.org.
