Five area seniors have received $1,500 scholarships from the Contoocook Valley Board of Realtors.
This year’s awardees are Kelsey Powel of Hillsboro-Deering High School, Cameron Smith of Mascenic High School, Erin MacDonald of Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative Middle/Senior High School, Allison Asaff of Conant High School and Fletcher Maggs of ConVal Regional High School.
Scholarships were awarded based on work experience, community service, financial need and grade-point average.
In the last few months, the CVBR scholarship committee, consisting of Alyssum Proctor-Russell, Colleen Whitney, Chair Judy Spring, Roberta Letourneau and Vice Chair Karen Niemela have been working with businesses, artists and individuals to raise funds for a total of $7,500 in scholarships.
The scholarships are made possible by donations from Ashley Wadleigh Photography, Atlas Fireworks, Beepa and Lulu’s, Belletetes, Blue Y Farms, Bonnie Hill, Copper Kettle To Go, Fieldstone Farm, Bruce Fox, Fox Hill Pet Resort, Gnome Studios, Henniker Farm and Country Store, The Home Depot, Kimball Farm, Market basket, Matt Patterson, Monadnock Oil and Vinegar, New England Bells, Old Homestead Farm, Pearl Restaurant and Oyster Bar, Saxy Chef, Silver Ranch Stables, Thai Cafe, Wilton House of Pizza and Zizza Pizza.
Company sponsors include Trustees Auto, S&S Concrete, Dieties Bed and Biscuit, Borderline Realty, and Despres Realty.
