Residents have until Sept. 15 to submit family recipes for a community cookbook, the proceeds from which will go to support the New Ipswich Library.

The cookbook, being put together by the Friends of the New Ipswich Library as a fundraiser, will be released this fall, and organizers are hoping for about 80 recipes across different meal categories.

Residents who would like to contribute a recipe can send the recipe and a brief note about where the recipe came from or why it is important to their familyย to Sarika Rainey at sarika.rainey@gmail.com. The Friends of the New Ipswich Library are particularly looking for family recipes that have been handed down, or recipes that reflect the regionโ€™s large circle of Finnish and French-Canadian roots.

Cookbooks will be available at the New Ipswich Libraryโ€™s Small Business Saturday event in November and other events throughout the fall.

Any residents interested in joining the Friends of the New Ipswich Library can contact Shelly Zinsmeister at shellycasilio@hotmail.com.
