Several closely contested local races will be recounted next week.
The State Senate District 9 race, which Republican Denise Ricciardi of Bedford won over incumbent Democrat Jeanne Dietsch of Peterborough, was decided by 412 votes and will be recounted in Concord Tuesday.
The State Senate District 11 race, which Republican Gary Daniels of Milford won over incumbent Democrat Shannon Chandley of Amherst, was decided by 198 votes and will be recounted Monday.
The State Senate District 12 race, which Republican Kevin Avard of Nashua won over incumbent Democrat Melanie Levesque of Brookline, was decided by 830 votes and will be recounted Wednesday.
In the House race for two seats in Hillsborough District 4, just 196 votes separated the top vote-getter from the lowest, as Republican Jim Kofalt of Wilton (2,675), Republican Lisa Post of Lyndeborough (2,644), Democratic incumbent Jennifer Bernet of Wilton (2,627) and Democratic incumbent Kermit Williams of Wilton (2,479) split the vote nearly evenly. That race will be recounted on Nov. 17.
The Executive Council District 5 race, which Republican Dave Wheeler of Milford won over Democratic incumbent Debora Pignatelli of Nashua, was decided by 1,487 votes and will be recounted Nov. 18.
