The Rindge Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Saturday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Rindge Meetinghouse, 6 Payson Hill Road.

Following the meeting, Bruce Craven and Christie Higginbottom will present their book, "Finding William Lewis [1819-1897]: The Everyday Life of This Singular Man." The program explores the life of William Lewis, a 19th-century New Englander, through his writings, including 143 journals and more than 200 account books spanning nearly 60 years.

Craven and Higginbottom will share excerpts from Lewis's journals and accounts, which document his work as a leatherworker, peddler and farmer. Their book will be available for purchase and signing.

Refreshments will be served after the program.
