The 11th annual Project Linus Make a Blanket Day will take place Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 6 Payson Hill Road, Rindge. The event is sponsored by the church’s Charity Crafters group.

Attendees will create single-layer polar fleece blankets to donate to Project Linus, a nonprofit that provides handmade blankets to children in need. Demonstrations of crocheted, braided and fringed-edge blankets will be offered throughout the day. Bring 1 1/2 to two yards of fleece or make a donation for materials. Sharp scissors are recommended. No sewing experience is required.

Lunch will be provided. Participants may attend all or part of the day and bring completed blankets. Door prizes will be awarded.
