Team Jaffrey’s Riverfest celebration took place July 29 in downtown Jaffrey.

The community field hosted Lindsay and her Puppet Pals, hot air balloon rides, Knights egg sandwiches and face-painting from Soul Blossom Body Arts. Throughout the day, painted butterflies, sharks and unicorns adorned the faces of children of all ages.

Instrumental and vocal students of Mike and Diane Rousseau performed under the gazebo on the Town Common, sharing what they prepared. Drake and Dahlia Parkerson of Jaffrey performed “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri on the keyboard and cello. The audience sat in the shade of the Common’s trees listening and cheering the musicians along.

The day continued with Project Shakespeare’s performance on the library lawn, musical chairs, a car show at the Monadnock Plaza, and Josee Vachon performing at Jaffrey Woman’s Club.

Jaxson Langley of Jaffrey stopped to pet a kitten that was brought to Riverfest by Monadnock Kitty Rescue & Adoption.

“We come to Riverfest every year,” Langley said.
