The Jaffrey-Rindge School District is searching for a new facilities manager.

In a letter sent to the SAU office on Nov. 10, William Sudsbury told Business Manager Carrie Broderick that he was resigning, effective Nov. 24. No reason was given for his departure. Sudsbury had been employed by the district for about four years.

“We are grateful for the work Bill did to address many facilities matters that were long overdue,” said Superintendent Reuben Duncan. “He provided support to our energy audit process that we recently went through, and helped educate community members on the current state of our facilities by providing them detailed tours of our buildings.”

Duncan said the district began posting for the job last week, and that the district hopes to have someone new in place by early 2017.

With the district ramping up to enter the budget season, Duncan said Broderick will be in charge of the final development of the facilities budget.

“She and I have been working on that effort and have received support from the maintenance and custodial staff,” said Duncan. “Certainly, the district’s decision as to how to proceed with the energy upgrades will have an impact on what the facilities budget looks like.”
