Bennington police arrested a ConVal student last Tuesday on sexual assault charges, following an investigation involving multiple police departments.

The student, who was not identified because he is a minor, was charged with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, according to ‎Sgt. Jason LePine.

“So far, there are charges out of the Bennington Police Department, but there could be more forthcoming out of other jurisdictions,” said LePine. “It is an ongoing investigation.”

Bennington police were alerted on May 2 that the minor had been arrested by Antrim police in December.

Antrim Corporal Ethan Vaillancourt said Friday that the minor had been arrested and charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

“They are two different cases, as the victim is a new one in [the Bennington case,]” said Vaillancourt.

Peterborough police are also conducting an investigation, related to the student using a school computer for unlawful activities.
