Greenville is inviting residents who will be decking the halls for Christmas to enter their homes in the annual “Light Up Greenville” light and decoration contest.

Interested residents must submit their entry with their address and category they wish to enter by Dec. 7. Decorations must be up for judging by Dec. 16.

This year’s categories are “Yankee Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland” and “Cousin Eddie.” The “Yankee Christmas” theme includes all-white lights and decorations. For “Winter Wonderland,” multicolored lights and decorations are allowed. For both these themes, inflatables are allowed as long as they stay within the theme.

For the “Cousin Eddie” category, entrants are encouraged to include big and bright decorations and inflatables.

To enter the contest, message Stephanie Bouley or Heather Rathbun Schoff on Facebook, or comment under the “Light Up Greenville” post on the Greenville NH – Historic Village Community Facebook page. The same methods can be used for those interested in being a judge for the contest. Judges must be available to tour all the entrants and submit a voting record on the weekend of Dec. 16.

Organizers are interested in sponsors for prizes for the three category winners. Those interested in sponsoring the event may contact Bouley or Schoff.

Winners of the contest will be announced on Dec. 20.
