Ravens take home fourth at ECC championship tourney

The Franklin Pierce University bowling team took home fourth place overall at the Eastern Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, after an 0­2 day in best­of­seven baker play.

At the conclusion of play at Hiester Lanes, sophomore Jessica Davies was selected to the All Tournament Team.

The Ravens dropped a total of 1,809 pins in two matches on Saturday, averaging 905 pins per match.

The team’s single­game high of 195 pins came in the first game against Felician. The Ravens took on Adelphi in their first match of the day. Franklin Pierce was able to take one game against the Panthers but fell, 4­1, while being outscored, 1039­829.

The second match of the day was against Felician. The teams split the first four games, but the Golden Falcons took the final two games to take the 4-2 win and Ravens are eliminated in double-elimination, after being outshot, 1025-980.
