After losing 74-52 to Pelham on Feb. 1, the ConVal boys’ basketball team fell to 5-11 on the season.

However, after closing the regular season with a 46-40 win over Souhegan on Feb. 25 and a 57-55 victory over Kennett on Feb. 28, the Cougars secured the 14th and final seed in the state Division II playoffs. Both victories came against playoff-bound squads, as Souhegan is the 11 seed and Kennett is seeded 12th.

ConVal will play in an opening-round game Tuesday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m. against No. 3 seed Sanborn.
