PETERBOROUGHLibrary schedules owl program with Spikol

Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St. in Peterborough, will offer “How to be an Owl Prowler,” a free program for children and families, Saturday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m.

Susie Spikol, a naturalist at the Harris Center for Conservation Education and author of “The Animal Adventurer's Guide: How to Prowl for an Owl, Make Snail Slime and Catch a Frog Bare-Handed,” will be the presenter.

March is owl breeding season for barred owls, and Spikol will talk about New Hampshire's common owls and their nighttime adaptations. Participants will play a game that will let them hunt like owls, and make their own owl callers.

Spikol’s new book will be available for purchase and autographing at program's end. Snow and ice date is April 8 at 10:30 a.m.

For information on this program or any of the library’s services, visit peterboroughtownlibrary.org or call 603-924-8040.
