Police have identified the man who allegedly robbed TD Bank in Rindge on Friday afternoon.

An active warrant has been issued for Vincent M. Torraco, 25, whose last known address was in Athol, Massachusetts. Torraco is believed to be responsible for at least two other TD Bank robberies in New England, one in Connecticut and one in Gardner, Massachusetts.

“We don’t have all of the details, but we believe that he robbed all three banks in a similar manner,” said Rindge Police Chief Todd Muilenberg, in an interview Monday. “He was only passing notes to the teller. He didn’t have a weapon on him.”

Rindge police were called to the TD Bank in the Market Basket plaza after a white male suspect, now believed to be Torraco, entered the bank at 2:27 p.m. and demanded money from a teller with a written note. Muilenberg said there were no threats of violence during the incident.

“There was nothing violent about the note,” said Muilenberg.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer, and the suspect left the bank without incident, according to a press release issued by Muilenberg. There were no injuries reported.

Torraco is believed to be driving a dark green 2001 Honda Accord with the Massachusetts license plate 6KVY50.

Anyone with information about Torraco’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Rindge Police Department at 899-5009. Anyone who sees Torraco or his vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.
