The Mansfield Public Library Children’s Literacy Foundation finale featuring award-winning storyteller Simon Brooks has been rescheduled for Friday, May 27, at 11 a.m. at the library, 5 Main St., Temple.

All are welcome, and all preschoolers in attendance will receive free books courtesy of CLiF. After the preschool event, Brooks will visit Temple Elementary School to perform.

He became a full-time, professional storyteller in 2003, released his first CD in 2006 and his first collection of folk and fairy tales in 2018. He has won awards and honors for his storytelling albums from Storytelling World and Parent's Choice. Simon travels all over New England and to other parts of the United States and has told his tales in Europe.

The Mansfield Public Library was one of 12 libraries across Vermont and New Hampshire awarded a CLiF Rural Libraries Grant for 2021-2022, aimed at public libraries in towns with a population of 5,000 or less.
