The Tour de Francestown drew 111 bikers on Saturday, May 20.

Sponsored by the Francestown Old Meeting House, the ride began on Main Street and took riders on 25- or 50-mile loops primarily made up of gravel roads. All proceeds will be used to preserve and protect Francestown Old Meeting House.

Martine Villalard-Bohnsack, a trustee of Francestown Old Meeting House, said the event drew riders from as far away as Boston, Dallas and Philadelphia.

“It really was a resounding success,” she said. “The riders were delighted. Out-of-towners couldn’t believe how beautiful our area is.”
