Why am I running and what do I bring to the position:

■I am currently doing the job and have been trained in all programs needed. In choosing me, you would get the advantage of my skills and expertise in programs required by the state to do the job.

■I have lived in many small towns in NH and understand the importance of the Town Clerk. I want to help people have a pleasant, professional and efficient experience.

■Town can recoup the investment of training they have already incurred in training me.

I bring proven efficiency skills, and a high level of customer service from working at Great Brook School as the Executive Admin Assistant. I have been running my own Notary Signing Agent company for 7 years and I am rated with a 99% approval and excellence rating by 87 title companies I work with. I am looking forward to finding ways to streamline the current processes and using my eagle eye for improving efficiency. I’m always looking for ways to save time and money. Also, being a friendly face to meet you when you have a need.

What are two issues you think are important and how would you address them?

Working as the Assistant Town Clerk I have heard many times from people that they had to take time off of work to get to the town offices to register their cars or dogs or to get a marriage certificate. I have done extensive research, putting together a spreadsheet, that shows the towns in NH that have a comparable size population. One of the columns in the sheet is the hours worked by each of those towns. I would like to create office hours that better serve the towns people and line up with what other towns are doing to better serve their customers.

Secondly, my proficiency in computer skills and the use of technology will be utilized to streamline processes and improve communication between the office and the townspeople. I will put a plan in place to keep the website updated to ensure it has current information. We will be prompt in our response to emails and phone messages. While adhering strictly to State guidelines we will utilize scanning tools to save documents to the computer. This will provide quicker searches for document requests, printing of needed documents on demand and reduce storage requirements. This will free up space to store required critical hard copies.

My whole goal, in continuing in this position, is to serve the people of my town with a smile and make their visit as quick and efficient as possible.
