Holiday events planned for Rindge this weekend

Rindge is scheduled to hold a tree-lighting on Friday and Breakfast with Santa on Saturday.

The annual tree-lighting is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. on the Rindge Town Common. The event will include singing from the Rindge Memorial School Chorus. The event will include presentation of the Rindge Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year awards, fireworks and a brief visit from Santa Claus.

Santa Claus will be back in town on Saturday, for a Breakfast with Santa event from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Rindge Recreation Center, located at 283 Wellington Road. The breakfast will include pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, juice and coffee. Santa will attend and be available for pictures. People can bring a completed gingerbread house for judging in the Gingerbread House Contest.

The cost of the breakfast is $5 per person, with a maximum of $25 per family.
