The Farm at Wolf Pine Hollow hosted its second TulipFête Saturday.

This year, the owners of the farm, Tom and Ariane Ice, chose to expand the festival into the main field to host more people, flowers and activities, which ranged from face-painting to flower-picking to live music.

Katie McCarthy of Milford discovered the event on Facebook and believed it would be a great way to celebrate an early Mother’s Day. Her family spent the afternoon picking tulips and taking family photographs. Eva Hart of Webster met baby goats, patting them with care as her family stood outside the fence cheering her on.

The hayride that circled the farm stopped at the barnyard, the stand and the flowers. Visitors were encouraged to hop off the hay ride and meet animal friends, stop at the farmstand and walk through the rows of tulips.

“I think that the early success has shown us that there is a continued need for more agritourism in the area,” Ariane Ice said. “We are excited to bring more beauty and fun to New Hampshire. We have lots of plans for more flowers and garden designs. Each year, the farm will be a little different, but the main focus will always be on the flowers and food we’re growing.”
