Jaffrey/PeterboroughA Democratic presidential candidate will speak to voters in Jaffrey and Peterborough this week. Tulsi Gabbard, 37, is a third-term Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii and a member of the Committees on Foreign Affairs and Armed Services. She also was a vice chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2013 until she resigned in 2016 to support Bernie Sanders.
Gabbard will first appear at the Jaffrey Public Library on Thursday to speak at the Jaffrey Democrats Caucus.
The event takes place in the downstairs meeting room and begins at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
Only registered Jaffrey Democrats can vote at the caucus, but all Democrats and independents are welcome to attend.
Peterborough Democrats will host Gabbard on Friday at Post and Beam at 1 p.m.
For both events, Gabbard will address the crowd about her vision. A question and answer session will follow.
