Wilton Collaborative Space schedules workshops

The Wilton Collaborative Space, 21 Gregg St. in Wilton, is pleased to host two hands-on workshops led by League of NH Craftsman member, Sussy-Rose Shields.

The first workshop is Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 7 to 8 p.m. and is intended for parent/child (8 and up) pairs. No experience is needed. Participants will learn the professional method to string a 24-inch necklace of beads to wear or to give as a gift. Gift boxes will be provided. The cost is $15 per necklace, and registration is required by sending email to programs@wiltoncommunitycenter.org or calling 603-654-1245.

The second workshop is Thursday, Dec. 14, from 7 to 8 p.m. and will be about creating a hammered copper snowflake ornament. It is geared to ages 12 and up. The cost $15 per ornament. Registration is required by sending email to programs@wiltoncommunitycenter.org or calling 603-654-1245.

Instructor Sussy-Rose Shields has had a jewelry studio in the Riverview Mill artist building in Wilton since 1991. She is a juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen who offers metalworking classes, repair and custom work and has a sales gallery of student work, as well as her own.

The Wilton Collaborative Space is a project of the Wilton Community Center.
