A Wilton man was killed in a single-car crash on Route 101 in Milford Friday afternoon.

Arthur Hall, 52, of Wilton, died in the crash. He was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, according to a release issued by the Milford Police Department.

On Friday at approximately 4:09 p.m., Milford police, fire and ambulance, along with Amherst Police, responded to Route 101 in Milford for a reported single-car crash with injuries. When police arrived, they found Hall, deceased in the vehicle.

Early investigation reports show that Hall was traveling west on Route 101 near the Route 13 South overpass, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck some trees. Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

New Hampshire Department of Transportation closed the area of Route 13 South for approximately four hours as a result of the crash. The crash remains under investigation, and any witnesses or anyone with information about the crash should contact Milford Police Sgt. Nate Stone at 603-249-0630, Ext. 265.
