After several years without one, the Wilton Recycling Center has reopened the Still Good Shed as volunteers are available, as of April 30.

Only usable, clean items in working order will be accepted. Items are for personal use only, and not for resale. In order to use the shed, residents must have a current Wilton Recycling Center facility sticker. Boxes of items will not be accepted – items must be unpacked and put neatly on shelves.

Due to space constraints, only five people are allowed in the Still Good Shed at a time, and may browse for up to 15 minutes once per day per resident.

The Still Good Shed does not accept any computer items of any type, large pieces of furniture such as couches or mattresses, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, paints or any chemicals of any kind or hazardous materials, including items that contain lithium ion batteries, lead or mercury; textbooks; or weapons. Volunteers have the authority to refuse items deemed unsuitable.

The shed will be open when volunteers are available, and hours are subject to change. Check the Wilton Recycling Center Still Good Shed Facebook page regularly for updates on available hours. Nothing can be left when the Still Good Shed is closed.
