Farms in Bennington, Hancock, Greenfield and Lyndeborough are part of the annual New Hampshire Wool Arts Tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.

Participating farms include Glory Be Farm at 268 Bible Hill Road in Bennington, Brimstone Hollow Farm at 46 Middle Road in Hancock, Ten Talents Farm at 420 Slip Road in Greenfield and  Maple Lane Farm at 24 Maple Lane in Lyndeborough. Spinner Farm at 192 Old County Road in Deering is also participating.

Locally produced sheep wool, alpaca, llama, Angora rabbit and mohair will be available, and more than 40 vendors will be offering hand-spun and commercially spun yarns, kits, artwork and handcrafted products for purchase. Artists will demonstrate crafts such as spinning, weaving, rug-hooking and needle-felting, and fall food will be available.

The Wool Arts Tour was established by a group of local wool producers in 1983 to raise awareness of and passion for natural fibers from their animals. For directions, a list of vendors at each stop, downloadable tour brochure and information, go to or The Wool Arts Tour on Facebook.
