The next production of Peterborough’s Firelight Theatre will get founders and stars Nora Fiffer and Jason Lambert out of their Guernsey Building home base and into the open air.

“We Were Friends, Episode 1” is the first of an ongoing outdoor theatrical experience inspired by the rich and enigmatic friendship between Margaret Fuller, journalist and activist, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, transcendentalist essayist and poet, as imagined in today’s world.

“We Were Friends” runs June 20 - July 1, performing at five different outdoor locations in the region – in Peterborough, Jaffrey, Hancock, Antrim, and Harrisville. Show will take place at 12:30 p.m. for a lunch break show, or in the evening at 5:30 or 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $7 each. The show runs approximately 40 minutes.

On opening day, the performances will be in Peterborough’s Putnam Park.

The theatre invites attendees to bring a picnic to the show. If you attend one of the Harrisville performances on June 28, you may reserve a picnic basket catered by Mayfair Farm.
