Kirsti Sandy, winner of the 2017 Monadnock Essay Collection Prize, will present a book talk and author signing at the DubHub on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.

Admission is free and copies of the book will be available for purchase. Sandy is Keene State College’s Dean of Arts, Education, and Culture. Bauhan Publishing of Peterborough just published her book in early October.

She Lived, And the Other Girls Died is a coming-of-age memoir about growing up in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and some of her most funny, bizarre, and often life-changing or view-altering adventures and lessons. Many essays really hit home with poignant experiences with death, bullying, and “me too” trauma, and others are just plain fun, making it a well-rounded snapshot of adolescence.
