Boston and Nelson-based singer-songwriter Julie Snow will be the featured performer at the DubHub Open Stage on Friday.

After discovering Tolman Pond in 1977, Snow had her hippie wedding on the edge of the pond in 1978. After many summers in a Tolman Pond “camp,” she and her family moved to Nelson to live in 1992. Among her most important, early experiences as a singer/songwriter were her performances at the Folkway in Peterborough and her introduction to Lui Collins, who recorded five of Snow’s songs on her first two albums. Snow is probably best known for her song “Baptism of Fire,” which was the title cut of Collins’s second album.

In the past 10 years Snow finally made two albums of her own music, and she loves sharing these songs.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and performances begin at 7:30 p.m. (Snow date is Sunday at 5 p.m.)

Admission is free; a hat will be passed during the evening. Nine open mic slots are available before the feature. Performers are encouraged to sign up at info@dublincommunitycenter.org.

The Dublin Community Center is located at 1123 Main Street in Dublin.
