The Hancock Town Library continues to host virtual art exhibits with September’s featured artist Katy Sysyn-Bolduc.

A Hancock resident, Sysyn-Bolduc began painting as a young child, and has continued to create throughout her adult life. Her exhibit includes paintings and digital photography. Some of the work in her exhibit are projects she began years ago, but is just now completing.

Exploring the world of nature in her backyard prompts much of her creativity. Artists who have been inspirational include her mother, Noralie Sysyn (a Hancock native), Georgia O’Keeffe, Maxfield Parrish, and Andrew Wyeth. She comes from a very musical family, and music often motivates her artistic energy.

Sysyn-Bolduc is a self-taught artist, and describes her paintings as ‘spontaneous expressions of her imagination and dreams, within a natural setting’.
