Otis and the Elevators, a gritty staple of the region’s popular blues scene for many years, will perform Thursday on the Hancock town common – the final show in the Hancock Summer Concert Series.

Otis and the Elevators, fronted by harp player Otis Doncaster, play the blues with gritty soul and danceable beats. Their sets also include tunes from the jazz, country and folk genres – giving the audience all the best of Americana music. In addition to playing covers of some of the best blues material ever written, the band, which has released two CDs, also writes its own originals.

The family friendly concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnics and your dancing shoes. Ice cream treats will be available for sale.
