The Peterborough Town Library is currently featuring an exhibit of photographs by ConVal student Bryson Tyminski.

On display are nine of Tyminski’s nature photographs – his favorite subject to photograph.

Tyminski believes “it isn’t just the image that has importance but the story behind it” – and that’s not the only story within each photo. Not only is there a personal backstory behind each photo, but Tyminski believes there is another story in each photo “and that story is the one put together in your head as you look,” he said.

Although this is Tyminski ’s first photography exhibit, he is not new to recognition among his peers. This year Tyminski won three Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in Photography from the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers – one Silver Key Award and two Honorable Mentions.

There will be a reception for Tyminski on Thursday, March 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Tyminski ’s photographs will be on display at the Library until March 28 and will be available to view during regular library hours.
