The River Street Theatre will present the acclaimed Stratford Festival production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, starring Christopher Plummer Thursday through Saturday, with a showing at 7:30 p.m. each evening. On Sunday, there will be a matinee presentation at 2 p.m. The show is part of the theater’s continuing Stage2Screen Series.

This culminating masterpiece of Shakespeare’s career pits the desire for revenge against the demands of love and asks if a man is capable of creating a brave new world. Directed by Des McAnuff and captured in high definition over three performances, this play is filmed by 14 ultra HD cameras that give the viewer an up-front and intimate theatrical experience.

Tickets for The Tempest are $20 (students and teachers $15). More program and schedule information, as well as ticket purchases, can be found at riverst.org or by calling the RST Box Office 532-8888. The after hours box office can be reached by calling OvationTix at (866) 811-4111.
