Every Sunday at 4 p.m. this summer, the Old Meeting House in Francestown will bring people together for its 2021 season with some much-needed entertainment on the lawn. The season begins in May with three programs.

On Sunday, May 16, “Mostly Jones,” a trio featuring Marybeth MacKay from Francestown on violin and New York City pals on guitar and mandolin will perform. Tickets are $15; children are free.

On May 23, join for a free event, the “Francestown Main Street Art Walk.” Artworks will be displayed in the Old Meeting House foyer, on the lawn, and on Main Street in Rosemary Conroy’s Studio B and in David Drinkwater’s barn. In addition, artists and craftspeople will be showing their work in other studios and yards along the way. Busking is encouraged, so if you are a musician and want to play, just ask.

In case of rain, displays will be in the Old Meeting House, in the horse sheds, and in various studios along Main Street.

On Sunday, May 30, the “Patriot Fife and Drum Duo” from York, Maine will entertain with tunes for Memorial Day. Tickets are $15; children are free.

A total of nineteen entertaining performances have been scheduled for the summer. Weather permitting, all events will take place on the Meeting House lawn. Bring a chair and wear a mask, even if you have been vaccinated. If it rains, program will be held inside the Old Meeting House while observing social distancing.
