Yankee humorist Fred Marple brings his Christmas show to The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey, Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m.

“I’m excited to be coming to the beautiful new Park Theatre,” Marple stated. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been out of the house, so the missus is happy, too.”

Marple’s Christmas show features holiday humor, music and assorted nonsense for the whole family, including the news from Fred’s hometown of Frost Heaves, New Hampshire; a report from the Snowflake Fair; news from the swap shop at the dump; and the tale of a surprise visit on Christmas Eve.

“It’s going be more fun than the time Herb Cullen put the live lobster in the punch bowl at the Ladies Guild party,” Marple stated.

Fred Marple has appeared on “New Hampshire Chronicle,” on the radio, at town halls, church basements and the homes of most of his friends, usually right around dinner time. Also known as author and songwriter Ken Sheldon, his humor has appeared in Yankee Magazine, New Hampshire Magazine and others. He is the author of “Welcome to Frost Heaves,” a collection of semi-true tales, rumors and outright lies from Frost Heaves.

Tickets are $15, available at The Park Theatre box office at 603-532-8888, online at and at the door.
