Thursday, April 19, 2018 1:11PM

The Two Rivers Community Choir will perform two benefit concerts this month.

On Sunday, April 22, the choir will sing at the United Church of Jaffrey, which is located at 54  Maint Street, at 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, April 29, the choir, including the alumni choir, will sing at the Union Congregational Church, which is located at 33 Concord Street, at 6:30 p.m.

The events are being billed as a 10-year retrospective and celebratory choral concert. It will feature songs and singers from a decade of community music making. The concerts are brought to life by the blending of 35 people who comprise Two Rivers Community Choir. The April 29 concert will include an additional 25 singers returning from previous semesters.

Proceeds from the events will benefit the TraverSing Hospice and Palliative Choir, which serves patients, caregivers, and families. The choir provides appropriate music to provide comfort and care for everyone in order to provide ease and comfort to those traversing the boundaries between this life and the next. TraverSing singers provide a calm and gentle presence at the bedside, singing simple songs from many traditions, which can offer solace and peace to clients, families, and caregivers. The choir is available to visit shut-ins, assisted living facilities, private homes, and to sing at memorial services.
